Do you need a prescription to treat a minor health condition or a condition that does not require a diagnosis?

For the following health conditions, your pharmacist can renew your prescription if it has already been prescribed to you within the last two to five years (depending on the condition):

Minor acne
Mouth ulcers
Allergic conjunctivitis
Menstrual pain
Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
Diaper rash
Hemorrhoids
Genital herpes
Recent female urinary tract infection
Allergic rhinitis
Vaginal yeast infection
Cutaneous mycosis
Oral mycosis
Thrush due to the use of inhaled corticosteroids
Shingles
Influenza in at risk patients

Your pharmacist can also prescribe medication for the following conditions, which do not require a diagnosis:

Pediculosis (head lice)
Emergency oral contraception
Hormonal contraception
Prevention of nausea and vomiting
Folic acid and vitamin supplements before and during pregnancy
Treatment of traveller's diarrhea and prevention of malaria or acute mountain sickness
Smoking cessation
Antibiotic prophylaxis for people with a valve and cytoprotective prophylaxis in at-risk patients
Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and dyspepsia
Vaccination
Emergency requiring the administration of salbutamol
Antiviral prevention in people at risk of developing influenza-related complications
HIV post-exposure prevention (PEP)
Antibiotic prevention after tick bite exposure (Lyme disease)
Over-the-counter medications, including supplies and equipment when indicated in the context of appropriate medication use
Treatment of contact dermatitis

Extend a prescription

Did your prescription expire before you could see your doctor?

In many cases, your pharmacist will be able to extend your prescription until you can make an appointment with your doctor or another healthcare professional. Consult our team to find out if this option is available to you.

Modify your prescription

Replace a medication

Is your medication out of stock?

While your pharmacist will not be able to do anything about drug supply issues, which are unfortunately frequent and beyond their control, they can provide you with an alternative drug so that you can continue treatment without interruption in the event of a shortage.

Vaccinate or administer an injectable drug

Do you need a vaccine for travel? Do you need information on an injectable medication?

Whether for influenza, hepatitis A or B, shingles, the human papillomavirus (HPV), or in preparation for a trip, take advantage of our on-site vaccination services.

In the event of an emergency such as an allergic reaction, your pharmacist is qualified to administer an appropriate medication.

We also provide you with the necessary instructions to safely and effectively self-administer certain injectable medications.

Monitoring after a hospital discharge

Is your hospitalization coming to an end?

To facilitate your return home, your pharmacist will  review your medical record meticulously to ensure that nothing was omitted when you were discharged from the hospital. This approach aims to facilitate your transition home while ensuring that you benefit from the best treatments adapted to your situation.

Strep-Test for group A streptococcus

Do you think you have symptoms of strep throat?

All you have to do is make an appointment at clicsante.ca to get tested at the pharmacy.

In the event of a positive test result, our team has a collective prescription that enables us to immediately prescribe the appropriate antibiotic to treat this infection.
